Beauty

Beauty

by Lisa Beck

We love this definition of "beauty" from Wikipedia
The experience of "beauty" often involves the interpretation of some entity as being in balance and harmony with nature, which may lead to feelings of attraction and emotional well-being. Because this is a subjective experience, it is often said that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder."
What is beauty for one is different for another. That is the "beauty" of this life.

Contrast.
Variety.
Differences.

It makes life interesting, doesn't it?

So the important thing here is, YOU have an idea of beauty. As far as aesthetics go, your idea of beauty is often influenced (at least a little) by culture & society's view of beauty.

So we want to ask you, when do YOU feel most beautiful? Let's go to the feeling state first. Feeling beautiful allows us to walk and act with more grace and confidence, love, kindness and charm. It puts us in harmony with who we are, with nature, with everything.

For some of you, it may be when you are wearing your favorite dress and dancing on a romantic date with your man. For others, it may be when you are in your pj's with your children on a Saturday morning, making pancakes and laughing; or sunning yourself on your favorite tropical beach, wearing your glorious pink hat and a sarong around your waist; or dancing on a grand stage in front of an adoring audience.

Perhaps you feel most beautiful when you are surrounded by all of the people that you love and adore, sharing food and/or having meaningful discussions about life.

We can feel beautiful in so many situations and circumstances. What does it feel like for you?

What can you do right now to bring more beauty into your experience today?

It really is a choice; and it's a gift we can give ourselves.

Beauty can be sexy, it can be pretty, handsome, masculine, feminine; it can be moving and inspiring, emotional and transforming.

May you surround yourself in beauty today, and know that you are beautiful!
