About

At Grace, Power, & Beauty, we believe Bliss + Pleasure are our divine birthright.

It is our deepest desire to show women that self-love and self-nurturing are the most important ways in which we make an impact on this planet. The more we care for and love ourselves, the more fulfilling and joyful our personal relationships will be, our lives will be, and the better we are able to care for others.

In our offerings, women learn simple daily rituals from Ayurvedic wisdom that create more vitality, energy, and softness in their lives. Women also learn to celebrate their bodies more through sacred dance, yoga, and breath work, and connect to the divine through meditation, mantra and chanting.

Enter into the sacred womb of Grace, Power, & Beauty and you will come out a brand new, refreshed and empowered woman!

Please note: Our Meditation & Movement series is for both women + men! See the schedule for upcoming offerings.

Aparna Khanolkar
Formerly the head chef at the Chopra Center for Wellbeing in San Diego, I currently live in Santa Barbara and work as an Ayurvedic lifstyle coach and educator. I also teach classes on Ayurveda and cooking. I am the author of 3 books, "A Mother's Blessing", "Happy Belly, Happy Soul", and the upcoming "Spice".

I was born and raised in India. I studied Bharatnayam and Kathak for 9 years. As a young girl, I was exposed to the Ayurvedic lifestyle through food, herbs, yoga and oil massages. Challenges as an entrepreneur and single mother of two led me on a quest to find ways to self-nurture. Women are natural born nurturers and often forget to nurture themselves. My journey towards greater self-love led me to co-create GPB.

Grace, Power and Beauty is a project for women by women.  As co-creator of GPB, I strive to teach women how to strengthen their feminine core through the healing power of Ayurveda.

Dance and music are my passion, and the way in which I inspire others to step more fully into their power and radiance. I have studied West African drum and dance, and Afro-Brazilian, Samba, Classical Indian (Odissi), Bollywood and Hip Hop dance over the past 12 years, and I lead popular dance classes, women's circles, and perform on many different stages and venues in Southern California and beyond.
I am also the creator of Djun Djun Mamas, an all-women's drum + dance group that performs, leads workshops, and hosts events around the Santa Barbara area. I am choreographer for Hemalayaa's Bollywood Party Workout DVD, and have been incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to work with some of Southern California's most gifted musicians and dancers, including Vanessa Isaac, Elizabeth Alvarez, Randy Tico, Rebecca Kleinmann, and more.

As co-creator of GPB, my mission is to share my passion for living a vibrant and radiant life with others by celebrating our bodies and releasing stress through sacred movement, breath, meditation, healing music, and by eating clean, nurturing, and life-giving food.
